Security over return – even in good times

The year 2021, the second year with the persistent coronavirus, is now a thing of the past and a chapter in history. The various financial markets and many asset classes generated handsome returns, making investors happy upon receiving their portfolio statements. Can 2021 therefore be classified as a “simple” year for our investment managers? “No, not at all!”, counters Konstantinos Ntefeloudis, our Head of Investment Management.

In the short discussion between him and Marc Jäggi, Head of Moderation at Radio 1, you will hear why, despite the booming markets, our investment managers had their hands full in 2021 with making the most sustainable investments for our clients. (video only available in German)

It is important not to simply sit back and watch in good years. Instead, it is imperative to check the various investments daily and, if necessary, to make adjustments in order to keep the portfolios stable.

Konstantinos Ntefeloudis, Head of Investment Management
