The renowned Institute for Wealth Accumulation (Institut für Vermögensaufbau, IVA) based in Munich, in collaboration with the independent company Swiss Benchmarking awarded its top quality seal (5 stars) to the investment solutions of Maerki Baumann. The quality tests are based on scientific methods developed in collaboration with Professor Thorsten Hens, Head of the Department of Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich. The 5-star quality seal certifies that the portfolios of Maerki Baumann are suitable for long-term growth and capital preservation. The certification process was conducted for the first time at Maerki Baumann in the second quarter of 2014 and will continue on a quarterly basis. In particular, the asset management mandates applying the widespread investment strategies “Conservative” and “Balanced” are examined. The quality testing includes checks of the risk-return expectations and loss potential as well as the sensitivity of the portfolios in different market scenarios and a number of other parameters. Finally, transparency and marketable prices are the prerequisites for investment solution to qualify for certification. Stephan A.
